If you're still reading that means you've just opened up your mind, and are about let your imagination run wild. You have entered a realm that never existed - until now...
As seen from my previous post, this is a complete map of the Realm. Prepare yourself, cause now your gonna learn about the different Lands, Kingdoms, Creatures, and Races that live in the Realm:
- The Far North - Goryon Kingdom
- The Far North is a snowy wasteland covered in mountains, mostly controlled by the Goryon Kingdom - creatures that are the children of Dragon Lords. The Far North - especially on top of Dragon's Mouth (the Tallest Mountain in the Realm) - is deeply connected to all the magical energy in the Realm - being one of the few places where a portal to the Spirit Realm can be opened.
- The Goryon are a mix of the different races living across the Realm. What makes them special is they all have a special affinity to magic - especially Dragon Magic - as all of them have one parent who was a Dragon Lord. The Goryon are extremely powerful, but have a desire to see the Realm in balance - with no wars. They are known to have been able to connect with the Dragons to become one with them. They often keep to themselves, only giving wisdom to the different leaders across the Realm. They are led by a group of seven - all of which are chosen by the Dragon Lords. The seven refer to themselves as the Dragon Priests. On top of the tallest mountain in the Realm - Dragon's Mouth (located at the center of the the Far North) - is a temple dedicated to Nogard - the Queen and Lord of all Dragons (The First Dragon Lord). This Temple's name is Dragons Temple. It is at this temple where the Dragon Priests reside. Here the Dragon Priests teach those who can brave the treacherous mountain in the true art of magic. They are taught to respect all life and the balance of it.
- The creatures that reside in the Far North are primarily the Dragons. The Dragons are known for their strength, power, ferocity, and wisdom. Dragons are sentient beasts, and have a type of society of their own. Their different species are led by one Dragon Lord. The one in charge of the Dragon Lords is Nogard - often called the Dragon Queen. The Dragon Lords have the ability to morph into other creatures that live in the realm.
- Other creatures in the Far North are the Ice Giants - somewhat sentient beasts that keep to themselves - living in small family groups of three to six. They were created by magic - which made them somewhat sentient - as magic gives life to all it touches. The Ice Giants are feared by most of those who live in the Realm, but stand little chance against the power of the Goryon or Dragons. Their main weakness is fire.
- There are giant four tusked creatures called Mamuts that have the appearance of an elephant. They generally roam the Far North in herds ranging from ten to twenty. They are highly defensive of their herd members - but present no threat unless threatened themselves. They've been known to crush the average man.
- There are large cat like creatures called Snow Sabres. They live in small packs of five to seven. They are fearsome creatures that have four large curved front teeth. They have been known to bite a man in half. They are large and have a nasty temper. Sabre cats live throughout the world and are called many names. There are Mountain Sabre's that have lighter fur that is tan. Then there are the regular Sabre cats that are brown in color and have light fur.
- Dokel is made up of four islands, two of which have active volcanoes. The Northern Island is called Ardor, where there are only minor villages, and many mines. Ardor has one of the active volcanoes. The Eastern Island is called Badda, where there are several towns and villages. Badda has a large fishing business. The Western Island is called Hillaac. Hillaac is known to be hit by bad storms often, and has lost many ships to the Sea of Kyyja. Hillaac has several villages, and is home to one of the largest Okred military bases. The Southern Island - and largest - is called Dokel. Dokel is where the capital of the Okred Kingdom is located. Dokel has a large active volcano. Dokel has several towns, villages, and cities scattered across it. Most of the natural resources have been destroyed and made into military equipment.
- The Okreds are the rulers of Dokel, with their currently weak kingdom. The Okreds resemble Orks or Goblins. There skin is as black as scorched earth. They are brave warriors, and at one point controlled almost the entire Realm. The Okreds can be vicious, and have a natural hate towards humans - as it was the humans who eventually destroyed their mighty empire and hunted them to near extinction. The Okreds were said to have been once Elves, corrupted by Dark Magic used by the Goddess Kyyja at the end of the Age of Change (the Second Age).
- The Okred Steel Head is a large fish species that lives in the Sea of Kyyja. Their entire head is made of solid bone, and has sharp teeth. They are predators, but apparently a good dish in Dokel. They are one of the many fish species found in the Sea of Kyyja.
- Fire Dragon's are prominent in Dokel. They are known to sleep in the caves surrounding the two Volcanoes in the land. Fire Dragon's are looked up to by the Okreds as wisdom givers. One of the dragons that has made there home in Dokel - inside the Volcano on Dokel Island - is the Dragon Lord Agmir. Agmir has given wisdom to the Okred Priests throughout the Ages since they settled on Dokel.
- Aquos is made up of the Island chain to the South of Dokel - called the Aona Islands. The rulers of the islands are the lizard looking humanoids called Saphids. The Islands are tropical and full of life. In the Sea of Aqdros lurks the Sea Serpents - cousins of the Dragons. On Aona Island - the one shaped like a Sea Serpent - there is an active volcano.
- The Saphids are lizard looking humanoids, who normally have orange or blue colored skin. They normally are very civilized creatures that live in large towns. They are known for their massive fishing fleet. They have the ability to breathe underwater, and are naturally good swimmers. Their soldiers are strong and courageous, but have a little amount of armor. There not warriors, preferring diplomacy and trade over fighting, but aren't afraid to defend what is theirs ferociously. Their Kingdom is often seen as a sanctuary for those fleeing enemies. Their patron is Aqdros, Goddess of the Sea and a massive Sea Serpent. There is a Temple of Aqdros on one of the Aona Islands.
- Sea Serpents are seen as the Protectors of Aquos and are religiously symbolic to the Saphids. Sea Serpents are large creatures that live in the waters around the Aona Islands, and are a cousin species of the Dragons. They are somewhat sentient - as the older Sea Serpents are known to have given wisdom to the Saphids. Sea Serpents are known as the Protectors of the Sea as well, keeping the balance between all life in the vast seas around the Realm.
- The Aona Islands are Tropical Islands, so there is a vast variety of animals seen on the jungle island chain. There is also a large variety of fish in the sea surrounding the islands. Inside the Volcano on Aona Island is another deeply spiritual place where one could potentially open a portal to the Spirit World.
- The Dwarfish Kingdom is located in the Northern Mountains of Abatral. It is a largely forested area, with lots of mountain ranges. There is one large active Volcano. Forest Dragons live in the woods. There are also Bears, Mountain Sabres, Giants, and other various creatures.
- The Dwarves are known as short humanoids with a lot of strength. Their Kingdom lies under the earth - mostly inside the mountains in their lands. They are the best miners in the Realm. They created a magical factory called the Forge - dedicated to their patron Libris (Goddess of Wisdom and Inventions - who is a Phoenix/Lord of all Phoenix's). The Forge was used to create superior weapons and armor, making them have one of the best armies in the Realm. The Dwarves are known for their great courage, but weak stamina - which often gets them into hairy situations.
- Forest Dragons are the protectors of nature. They are often sighted in the Northern Mountains. Forest Dragons often keep the Dwarves in check when they harvest too much resources - creating animosity between Dragons and Dwarves. Forest Dragons can easily camouflage themselves in thick forests. Instead of breathing fire, they fire an energy burst of magic. They also can control the creatures around them to fight for them. They are highly poisonous - as one bite from them (if you survive being bit) can kill you near instantly.
- Phoenix's are extremely intelligent and speak telepathically. They travel all over the Realm, migrating by seasons - In the Dwarfish Kingdom until Fall, then on the Island South of Abatral where the Library is located. A Phoenix is seen as a symbol of hope and rebirth; this is because when they die, they burst into flames and are reborn from the ashes. There have been rare occasions when Phoenix's have connected with humanoids and became almost like a pet to the humanoids - giving them advice and wisdom. Their leader is Libris, who is the largest of all the Phoenix's.
- The Giants of the realm are often secluded and live in small families - similar to their icy cousins in the Far North. Giants of the Northern Mountains are made of flesh, rather than magic. They are vicious monsters when provoked - and are easily enraged. When a Giant is enraged, they go on a blind rampage - destroying everything in their path. They are not very intelligent, and have primitive weapons and practically no armor. Despite little to no armor, they have thick skin and nearly unbreakable bones.
- Werewolves are beasts of burden. They plague the mainland of Abatral. Werewolves are humanoids that have been plagued by a disease called Lycanthropy, which turns the humanoids into beasts. A pure blooded Werewolf - or one who drinks the blood of a Pure Blood - can control the monster inside of them and actually think. They can transform at will and still know what they are doing. Pure Bloods are seen as pack leaders. Humanoids who have been bit by a Pure Blooded Werewolf, and survive the resulting fever will be forced to transform into a Werewolf - called Red Bloods. Red Bloods, unlike Pure Bloods, have no control of their actions. They become mindless monsters when they transform. However, they will obey the call of a Pure Blood that has accepted them into their pack. The Red Bloods are truly the ones to fear, as they have been known to slaughter entire villages. Those with Lycanthropy have no choice but to transform during the duration of a Full Moon - even Pure Bloods. Their abilities are enhanced ten fold and all become more vicious. Pure Bloods even have less control over their actions - but can learn how to fight the pull of the Full Moon. Pure Bloods generally have white or silver fur, while Red Bloods have black or brown fur. Werewolves were originally created by Silous (God of Knowledge, the Hunt, and Nature - a Forest Dragon) to be protectors of nature - and to destroy those who unbalanced it - as well as keep the population of species in check. Werewolves mortal enemy are the Vampires.
- Other creatures living in the forests of the Northern Mountains vary from Bears to Deer. There is such a large variety of animals living in the Northern Mountains. Most of them are hunted and turned into clothing or food - making the Northern Mountains a popular hunting area.
- The Viius Islands are the most sacred places in the Realm and the center of the flow of energy, making it another location to open up a portal to the Spirit Realm. It is comprised of three islands. The Island in the West (called Bos Island) is covered in Forest and contains many species of animals. The Island to the East (called Dor Island) has a large active Volcano where the land is scorched, leaving little to no animal species. There are deep underground tunnels that run under the island, and into the core of the Volcano. It is said that Bos and Dor Island are symbolic of the constant struggle between light and dark. In between the two islands is Viius Island, which has a large port that leads to a the Great Temple of Viius - Viius being the Supreme Deity and Creator God, from which all magic flows.
- Those who inhabit Viius Island are creatures from around the Realm. Some have dedicated their lives to Viius - being accepted into the Order of the Sagik Monks. The Sagik Monks are well known throughout the Realm as peace keepers - more so than the Goryon, as the Sagik Monks actively travel across the Realm. All Sagik Monks are powerful magic users. They are always willing to give sanctuary to all on their island. The massive temple they built for Viius is larger than anything constructed in the Realm.
- The Kingdom of Abatral is made up of four clans - Bruqon, Iakko, Appitope, and Orethas that were united by a reincarnation of Lumir (God of Light and Hope - Angelic Being) to defeat the tyrannical rule of the Okreds when the Okred Empire ruled most of the world. The Okreds were defeated by the reincarnation of Lumir, whose name was Enochai. Enochai united the four clans, bringing all of mankind under one nation. The people felt indebted to Enochai, so they built a city and a palace in the center of the Kingdom, naming both in his honor - the city was called Enochai and became the capital, and the Palace was called Enochai Tower. The Kingdom of Abatral quickly became one of the most powerful kingdoms in the Realm, as they had seemingly limitless resources. Enochai's descendants became naturally adept to magic and were often taught at an early age.
- Vampires live in the Kingdom of Abatral. They live in groups that often hide on the far borders of the Kingdom, as the Kingdom of Abatral has hunted down many Vampires and killed them. Vampires live all over the Realm, except for the Viius Islands. Vampires are the direct creation of Kyyja (Goddess of Lust and Rebellion - Dark Dragon). Kyyja made them to inflict damage on mankind, as she despises man. Vampire clans are normally led by a Patriarch or Matriarch - called Old Bloods, as they are generally the oldest Vampires in the clan. The Old Bloods can seek out humanoids and turn them into Vampires by biting them. These new Vampires are called Young Bloods. Some Vampire clans become very large, and are then called Vampire families. Vampire Families are led only by a Pure Blooded Vampire - created directly from Kyyja, or a descendant of a Vampire created by Kyyja. There greatest weakness is the sun. They also have been known to have been easily torn apart by Werewolves. Vampires are fast and able to jump great distances. They have the ability to lull others into a trance, in order to feast on their blood - however this ability doesn't work on Werewolves. Werewolves are Vampires mortal enemies.
- As the Kingdom of Abatral covers a vast amount of land, all I will say is there are hundreds of different species of animals that live in Abatral. Werewolves also live in the Kingdom of Abatral, but not as much as they do in the Northern Mountains.
7. The Elvish Kingdom
- The Elvish Kingdom is tucked away in the Viius Mountains, which act as a boarder between the Elvish Kingdom and Abatral. Their lands are luscious, and full of life. The Elves take great care to tend their land. The Elves have built their capital in the side of a mountain. The Elves also have a somewhat large fleet of ships. Elves are highly adept to magic. The Elves are wise, and often are diplomatic. They seek to bring and see balance in the world. Their patron is Baesaestia (God of Balance - Special Angelic Being). The Elves are mighty and brave soldiers. They are also very loyal to those they call friends. They embed their arrows with magic, so whenever an arrow leaves their bow it never misses its target. The Elves also have a deep respect for Viius (the Creation God), and constructed and dedicated a sanctuary to him in their capital - The Sanctuary of Viius (which is the last place where it is easy to open a portal to the Spirit Realm). Elves generally stand taller than the average human and have a light glow to their face. They age at a very slow rate. An Elf can live as long as three generations of man.
That's all for this post. Next post I will talk about the magic of the world and how it works/where it comes from. I will also briefly talk about the Pantheon of the Realm. My other posts about the story won't be as long as this post is, as this post is trying to explain the realm, so you know the basics of what I am talking about when I talk about deeper things - such as magic. With that, I leave you with this picture of what I'll be talking about next - Magic...
Light comes to this land,
Shinning bright for all to see,
Bringing hope to all.
