Abatral Story update - 6/16/16

Sorry I haven't posted anything in so long.  But now I've got a couple things I can talk about relating to the story that I've been working on, so I've got some stuff to post for the next couple days.  So without further ado, here's my latest post:

So I've been doing a lot of work on this story for the past couple weeks.  These are some of the things that I've done:


I've been creating the fantasy world where the story will take place called Abatral (name is subject to change, as I don't want to confuse readers with the Kingdom of Abatral and the Realm of Abatral).


I've been fleshing out the backstory of the realm, answering questions such as where everything came from, who do the people of the realm worship - and where do these deities come from, how did the main kingdom -where the story revolves around- come into being, and what are the other kingdoms and creatures of this world.


As for the actual story I've been working on, I've been fleshing out all seven of the main recurring characters that appear or are referenced throughout the story.  All seven have an interesting back story that I will be able to use to develop the characters once I start writing the story.  The seven main characters are Illum (protagonist), Perseus (supporting character), Randal (supporting character), Maollan (supporting character), Roland (supporting character), Yarmik (supporting character), and Yurid (antagonist).  All of them have important roles that will become evident as the story progresses.                                  (I'm currently finishing this up)


I have drawn pictures of each individual character (although Yurid's picture is crap and I will be redoing Yarmik and Roland's pictures) so that I can have a visual when I describe them in the story.  I think that these are probably better pictures than the ones I drew for my Enderan stories.


I have already written a web/plot for the story that will help me map out my story as I go along with it.  Just to further flesh out/organize my web/plot, I've been broadly describing what happens in every scene so I have a better idea of what to write about when I finally start writing (hopefully preventing writers block :)


My next post will be about the characters, and a short summary of their backstory (wouldn't want to give too much information away :)
