ABATRAL - ILLUM - STORY UPDATE - 6/27/16

Alright, so the story I am working on is going pretty good for a first draft.  I have the first couple chapters done and I'm still chuggin' along!  So just to give you guys a taste of what I am writing here is the 1st Chapter and the beginning paragraph of the 2nd Chapter.  Please be graceful, as this is the first draft and a lot of this stuff is subject to change when I finally get to the editing part of my story, (yay :(    (extreme sarcasm here :D ) which won't happen until I finish the first draft (obviously :D).

Please leave comments on things you like, suggestions that you have, or anything you'd like to add.  This will help me a lot.

Thanks, and I hope you enjoy  =)

Chapter 1

It was as if time had begun to slow down.  I watched as seven cloaked figures charged onto the docks, all unsheathing their swords with a metal screech.  As they got closer, my best friend Perseus shouted slowly as though it were a blur, “Black Hand!”  Perseus and my other friend Randle unsheathed their swords, which glistened in the midday sun.
As I unsheathed my sword, I saw the Black Hand’s leader – Yarmik.  He charged me with his blade blindingly reflecting the sun’s light in to my eyes.  I unsheathed my sword and deflected a blow from Yarmik’s sword.  As we fought, swinging and slashing about, every move I made seemed to make the world go even slower.  Everything looked drunkenly blurred as I continued defending myself from Yarmik’s attacks, making our swords clang and crash into each other.
But Yarmik had the better hand, and he swung hard, knocking my blade out of my hand.  Yarmik then swung back at me, and his sword made contact with my left cheek, making its way up to my left eye brow.  Slowly, I felt a stinging sensation ripple across the left side of my face.  Pain flared all over the new wound, that began to trickle with blood.  I fell to my knees gripping my face, blood covering my hand.
Then I felt a swift kick to my stomach and I fell backwards.  I looked up and saw Yarmik standing over me, his scared face bearing over me.  He prepared to bring down his sword upon me, when Randle jumped in front of me, taking a hit to his right arm.
I watched as Randle attempted to fight off Yarmik.  I tried to get up, to grab my sword, but I couldn’t move.  No matter how hard I tried to move, I couldn’t budge.  Then my worst fears began to become true.
I watched helplessly, still struggling to move, screaming for help, as Yarmik locked his sword with Randle.  The world around me flashed red and black as Yarmik took out one of his small blades, and stabbed Randle in the abdomen.  I yelled as loud as I could, as Randle fell onto the docks bleeding out.  I struggled harder, but I couldn’t move.  I couldn’t make sense of it.
Then Yarmik turned to me again, his blade pointed down to me.  He began to plunge it forward when an arrow ripped through Yarmik’s right arm.  Yarmik roared in anger, turning around to meet his attacker.
I watched as Perseus fired another arrow, which hit Yarmik in the chest.  Yarmik took out one of his small blades and hurled it at Perseus.  It hit Perseus’ hand, making him lose his grip on his bow.
Perseus dropped the bow, and unsheathed his sword, engaging Yarmik, who had pulled the arrows out of him.  With each clash of the sword, the world flashed red and black, like lightning.  I still struggled to move, and time seemed to become slower with each passing second.
Perseus was my best friend; I had already lost one of my friends.  I would not lose another!
I struggled with all my might to raise myself up, saying over and over in my head, “Not Perseus!  Not Perseus!”
I watched in horror as Yarmik caught Perseus off guard, and kicked him in the leg; knocking him off balance.  Yarmik then pushed Perseus back, causing him to fall onto the pier.  Yarmik then easily delivered a killing blow to Perseus’ heart, ending the fight instantly.
The world around me turned black as night, with only the area around me glowing in light, as I screamed, “No,” for what seemed like forever.  Finally, I was able to stand and grab my sword, but Yarmik was gone.  All that was left were the corpses of my closest friends.
I bent over in tears, as I kneeled before the dead bodies of Perseus and Randle.  Everywhere I looked for help, all I saw was darkness, except for the area around my body.  I looked into Perseus’ lifeless eyes; my oldest, most beloved friend I had was gone forever, and I failed him.  I had failed them both; I wasn’t strong enough.  I failed…
Then I heard a dark and evil laugh come from behind me.  I swiftly stood up, gripping my sword and pointing it into the direction of the approaching humanoid.  From the darkness appeared a fiery red light.  An older man, wearing robes as black as the darkness around us, approached me with a menacing smile on his face.  It was Yurid, King of Abatral.
Yurid approached me and darkly whispered, “If you continue to fight, their fate will be death; just like yours!”
I raised my sword in defense, but felt a blade enter through my back and exit through the front of my stomach. I looked down and saw it, drenched in blood.  I started breathing hard, and could feel the metal blade slowly and sickly yank back outside of my body, felling my flesh move around inside my body along with the blade.  I fell to my knees, feeling the life leave my body.
As I lay there dying, at the very end, I came to the conclusion that it was not death that I feared; for death catches up to everyone eventually.  No, what I truly feared was the death of my friends; those who were closest to me.  To lose them, would be to lose my whole world.
I closed my eyes, not willing to fight anymore; still not believing that I had failed my friends.  I had killed them…

Chapter 2

My eyes tore open and I gasped for air.  I could feel a mix of tears and sweat covering my face.  The nightmare that I had was still fresh in my mind.  Suffice to say, that was not what happened at the docks in Iakko; but it was terrifying nevertheless.

Fury - Gagnon Movie Review - Don't Gag on this -- 6/24/16

So being a big history buff (and future History Teacher) I naturally have a strong appeal to the Historical Fiction Movie genres.  Well I watched this movie a couple months ago, but I still think it is one of the best Historical Fiction Movies since Saving Private Ryan (1998) or Legends of the Fall (1994) - Which you can read more about on IMDb's website here:
Saving Private Ryan - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120815/
Legends of the Fall - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110322/

Well if you're still with me you're about to enter into a whole new world of Historical Drama awesomeness!  The movie I'm gonna be reviewing today is the 2014 movie Fury.

This movie is rated R; probably for the accurate depiction of World War II and what it was like to be a M4 Sherman Tank operator.  The M4 Sherman Tank was used during World War II specifically by the United States - which is where it got it's namesake, from the US Civil War Union General Tecumseh Sherman.   You can read more about the M4 Sherman Tank here:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M4_Sherman

Synopsis:

This movie follows a M4 Sherman Tank crew, starting what is explained to be sometime in April of 1945, probably about a month before the end of World War II in Europe (V-E Day) - which ended in Europe on May 8, 1945.  The members of the tank crew are US Army SSGT Don "Wardaddy" Collier (Brad Pitt), Boyd "Bible" Swan (Shia LaBeouf), Trini "Gordo" Garcia (Michael Peña), and Grady "Coon-Ass" Travis (Jon Bernthal) - and eventually Norman "Machine" Ellison (Logan Lerman).  It follows this tank crew as they fight the desperate Nazi Soldiers; and other forms of Nazi resistance from the Allied invasion of Germany - at a time when the Nazi Empire was crumbling apart.

**Spoilers Ahead

Movie Review:

The movie starts off with an opening scene that appears to be a recently fought battle; suggested to be somewhere in the heart of Germany.  It introduces Collier as a war hardened leader, trying to keep his crew alive.  They eventually return to the Allied Base, where they receive a new gunner named Norman Ellison, who has only been in the army for eight weeks and only worked as a clerk.  The movie does not romanticize war as most movies do; as within the first couple scenes, Ellison is sent to clean up the remains of the former gunner who held his position inside of the tank.

It's interesting to see the characters talk about and compare throughout the movie Norman's youth to the rest of the Tank crew's age.  They comment on this frequently, but accept the fact that there is nothing that they can do to get another gunner; as all the good ones are dead.  The movie also has some references to Christian Faith during war - as one of the Tank Crewmen Boyd Swan, nicknamed "Bible," carries his Bible close to him; and one of the first questions he asks Norman is if he is saved; not believing that Norman will last very long - a very grim, but true outlook on war.

The Tank Crew is assigned to a convoy heading to take a small town; ordered to kill any Nazi's that they encounter.  The movie gives some basic information on how the machine gun in the tank works, which is interesting.  The movie shows how the Hitler Youth were used during the last months of World War II by the Nazi's - creating psychological damage to some of the Allied Soldiers.  The movie also shows some military tactics related to Tank Warfare - as the movie is basically about just that.  It also shows the idea of "kill or be killed," which seems to traumatize Norman.

The movie then shows door to door combat as the tank convoy enters into a town that they are to capture - and even more of an eye opener - at least for me - to how the Hitler Youth was used during the war.  It eventually shows how - for the most part - no quarter was given to SS Officers.  It also shows, unfortunately - yet accurately - soldiers disorderly conduct after they take over the town.

It eventually shows the idea of brotherhood, which is awesome.  It also portrays perfectly that not all the heroes from a story get to ride off into the sunset together.  But the movie does end with a rather loud bang.

Conclusion:
All in all, I believe that Director David Ayer did an awesome job on this movie, as did all of the actors.  In the bonus content of the movie, it goes behind the scenes, and explains that the director and actors actually sat down with World War II Veterans who were Tank operators - who explained their stories, which helped write pretty much most if not all of this awesome movie.  I especially loved this movie because it showed great character development for Logan Lerman's Character (Norman), who starts off as no more then a clerk and ends up as a battle hardened soldier; knowing what the cost of war is.

I'd recommend this movie to anyone who loves History movies - especially War History movies.  However if you didn't like Saving Private Ryan (for some weird reason), I'd recommend that you not watch this movie ;)  I'd give this movie an 8/10 - for Historical Accuracy (for the most part), awesome character development, and just good casting and script.

So the next time you guys think of Fury -

Think of Fury -

But seriously:
I hope all you guys who love War/History movies get a chance to see this pretty sweet movie :D

**Story Update

I'm obviously still working on my story.  I've recently decided that there would be too much information in this story to put all the elements in; so I've decided to split it up into at least a two book series; but might spill into a three book series.  I need to go back and map out to see if I would have too much information for a second book.  Anyway; the story is coming along great.  Hope to have the first couple chapters done by the start of next week - but like I said, I've decided to make it into a series instead of just one novel.  Thanks for your support  :D

Risen - The Radical 6/21/16

You know, I've seen a lot of Christian related movies before - and I know this movie wasn't exactly made by Christians - but this movie is literally one of the best Christian movies I've ever watched.

If you're still with me, I'm talking about the 2016 movie Risen

Synopsis:
The movie takes place in 33 AD, and follows a Roman Tribune who is stationed in the Roman province of Judea - modern day Israel.  The Tribune is tasked to find the missing body of a recently executed Jew rumored to have risen from the dead.

Now when I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought it was going to be a lot like the 1953 movie called The Robe - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046247/  - which follows the story of the Roman Centurion who oversaw Jesus' execution, and his development of faith in Christ as well as his interaction with several early Church Leaders.

** Some Spoilers Ahead

Movie Review:
However as I watched the movie, I realized that this had practically nothing to do with The Robe.  The movie starts off with the Roman Tribune and his Legion putting down another Rebellion in the province of Judea - which is historically accurate (which made my day - I think I even said, well they've done their homework).  The Tribune returns to the Roman Governor of Judea - Pontius Pilate - who informs the Tribune that they just had a public execution of a Jew.  Pilate tells the Tribune to go and kill the Jew - to give him a small mercy.

The movie shows a lot of historically accurate information - such as the fact crucifixions were a regular punishment.  It also explained how Crucifixions worked - slowly suffocating those nailed to the cross.  The movie is accurate in how it displays middle eastern looking people - which was awesome.  The best part about this movie was how they depicted Jesus Christ - as an average man.  Now I know that my Savior is above average, but I believe while he walked in the flesh on this Earth that he looked just like any other man.  He wouldn't have been a white man - as Europeans were white and Jesus lived in the Middle East.  The only whites would have been the Romans, and this movie accurately shows this.

I think another cool part about this movie is that it has the feel of a mystery genre.  I think it is an excellent movie for new Christians, or for those who have never heard the Good News of Jesus Christ because it acts like a movie mystery.  The Tribune is sent out looking for the inner circle of Jesus - who are believed to have stolen the body of Christ - even though the Tribune believes the story that his guards on the Tomb had told him was a lie.  The Tribune **MAJOR SPOILER then sees Jesus (knowing it's him because he saw his dead body on the Cross) and is invited in to sit down by Christ.  It's amazing to see this scene.  And then the Tribune travels across Judea to reach the Sea of Galilee - along with the Disciples (Apostles) of Christ - to see Jesus before he ascends.  The Tribune sits at Jesus' feet near the Sea of Galilee - listening to him teach his disciples.  The Tribune even watches Jesus' compassion for a leper and witnesses the miracle of Jesus healing the leper.

The Tribune then sits down and speaks with Jesus - in what I thought was the most powerful part of the movie that really got me thinking about my own faith.  The Tribune then witnesses Jesus' accession into heaven.  By the end of the movie the Tribune states that he will never be the same again.

Conclusion:
All in all I thought the Director Kevin Reynolds did an awesome job on this movie, and I recommend it to all Christians and non-Christians alike - because it was really a well made movie.  I believe that my Brothers and Sisters in Christ should watch this as a congregation and do a study on - because this movie is truly powerful - and gives you the perspective of someone who is completely outside of the Christian or even Jewish Faith - knowing only about his Roman deities (which is another interesting historically accurate thing to think about).  I'd give this movie 9/10 stars.

I hope all of you get a chance to watch this awesome movie!

Top 10 Characters from the Star Wars Universe (cannon and noncanon) - June 20, 2016

****SPOILERS****

It should be noted that most of the following information has come from multiple sources, the biggest of which is Wookiepedia - http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
There are over a thousand different characters in the Star Wars Universe, so to narrow them to a top 10 is fairly difficult.  The following are some of the more interesting characters that I think play some of the most significant roles in the Star Wars Universe:

10. Ashoka Tano
  • I believe that Ashoka Tano plays a significant role in the Star Wars Universe because she was one the founding members of the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire.  Ashoka Tano was once a Jedi who fought during the Clone Wars.  She was the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker.  Near the end of the Clone Wars she was framed for bombing the Jedi Temple, and though she was proven innocent, she left the Jedi Order which further contributed to Anakin Skywalker's distrust with the Jedi.  After Order 66 and the fall of the Jedi Order, along with the Old Republic, Ashoka returned to help her friend Bail Organa, which would eventually set up an amazing confrontation between her and Vader.

 9. CT-7567 aka Captain Rex
  • CT-7567, nicknamed "Rex," was a veteran clone trooper captain who commanded Torrent Company of the Grand Army of the Republic's famed 501st Legion during the Clone Wars.  He fought alongside General Anakin Skywalker and Commander Ashoka Tano.  After the Great Jedi Purge, he and a couple other Clone Troopers retired to the Planet Seelos.  Eventually he got involved in the Rebellion against the Galactic Empire.

  8. Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader
  • Anakin Skywalker was a force-sensitive human male who served the Galactic Republic as a Jedi Knight, and later the Galactic Empire as the Sith Lord Darth Vader.  He was believed to have been conceived by the force itself and at a young age was made a member of the Jedi Order.  Skywalker was hailed as the "Chosen One" who was destined to bring balance to the force.  Anakin was the apprentice of Obi-wan Kenobi and the master of Ashoka Tano.  Anakin was a great General of the Clone Wars, and was the General over the 501st Legion - led by Captain Rex, until his retirement and Commander Appo replacing him.  Anakin was seduced by the dark side and became Darth Vader.  Vader helped the Empire hunt down and destroy the Jedi Knights.  Darth Vader's master was Darth Sidious.  Vader led a group of soldiers called Vader's Fist - which was originally the 501st Legion.

  7. Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious
  • Sheev Palpatine at an early age became the apprentice to Darth Plagueis, eventually taking on the persona of Darth Sidious.  Sidious killed his master in his sleep, and became the next Dark Lord of the Sith.  Darth Sidious, under the persona of Palpatine, became the senator from Naboo, and eventually elected as the Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic.  Darth Sidious organized the war that became known as the Clone Wars - in order to destroy two enemies with a single stroke (the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic).  He had three apprentices - Darth Maul, Darth Tyranus (Count Dooku), and Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker).  At the end of the Clone Wars, Palpatine made the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire; and declared himself the Emperor.  He used the remaining Clone Armies and Darth Vader to wipe out the Jedi Knights in what was classified as Knightfall, and became known as the Second Great Jedi Purge - when the clones inhibitor chips (in their brains) were activated with the Order 66 contingency protocol.  Emperor Palpatine led the Galactic Empire until he was killed by a redeemed Anakin Skywalker.

  6. Bastila Shan
  • Bastila Shan was an extremely gifted Jedi Knight from the Old Republic era.  She had a powerful Battle Meditation ability - making her able to use the force to give courage and bravery to those she fought with.  She lived during the end of the Mandalorian Wars, and became a key leader during the Jedi Civil War.  She and a Jedi Strike Team captured an injured Darth Revan, and brought him back to the council - where they used the force to reprogram his mind.  Bastila watched Revan regain his former power as she and his companions hunted star maps that would lead to the ancient Space Factory/Weapon called the Star Forge - which the Sith Empire was using to create an infinite number of battle cruisers.  Bastila was captured by Darth Malak (Revan's former apprentice) after Malak revealed to Revan who he truly was.  Darth Malak tortured Bastila until she fell to the Dark Side of the Force.  She fought for the Sith during the final battle of the Jedi Civil War.  She was confronted by a redeemed Revan, who in turn redeemed Bastila from the Dark Side.  As Revan went to defeat Malak, Bastila used her Battle Meditation to allow the Republic Fleet to defeat the Sith and eventually destroy the Star Forge.  Bastila and Revan eventually became married.  But Revan disappeared when Bastila gave birth to their son - to fight a bigger threat (the True Sith).  Bastila would eventually seek out the Jedi Exile Meetra Surik, and after Meetra saved the galaxy from the remnants of the Sith Empire under Malak, would send her into deep space to find Revan.  Neither were seen for a long time.

  5. Yoda
  • Grand Jedi Master Yoda was a legend to say the least.  He was one of the most powerful force wielders of his time, and lived for over 900 years.  He trained Jedi for hundreds of years.  His last formal apprentice was Count Dooku.  He led the Jedi Order during the Clone Wars and gave council to those he fought alongside with  - taking great care of his clone troopers.  He valued life, but only towards the end of the Clone Wars he became troubled.  He believed that he and the Jedi Order had become the very thing that they sought out to destroy - the Sith.  He believed that the Jedi were consumed by fear - and in so doing, they were consumed by the Dark Side (As fear is the path to the dark side...).  Yoda watched as heart breaking events unfolded around him during the Great Jedi Purge, as the Jedi Order was virtually destroyed.  He fought with and attempted to kill the new Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious), and lost.  He exiled himself to the Outer Rim world of Dagobah.  In the last days of the Clone Wars (before he arrived on Dagobah), Yoda trained under the guidance of the Force Spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn - to learn the path to immortality.  Yoda would eventually train the son of Anakin Skywalker - Luke Skywalker - to become the last of the Jedi.  Yoda would become one with the Force right before the last battle of the Galactic Civil War - the Battle of Endor; but would live on in his Force Spirit form to continue training Luke.

  4. Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • Obi-Wan was born on the planet Stewjon, and was brought to the Jedi Temple to be trained early in life.  He eventually became the apprentice of Qui-Gon Jinn.  He participated in the Invasion of Naboo - and as a result met his future apprentice Anakin Skywalker.  After Qui-Gon was killed by Darth Maul - and Obi-Wan supposedly killed Maul - he took Anakin (the Chosen One) as his apprentice.  Obi-Wan found the lost planet of Kamino and the Clone Army that was made for the Galactic Republic.  Obi-Wan would track the Bounty Hunter and Clone Trooper template Jango Fett to the outer rim world of Geonosis, where the Clone Wars began.  He and Anakin would chase down the Separatist leader Count Dooku to bring an end to the Clone War.  Obi-Wan would help Anakin teach his own apprentice - Ashoka Tano - who eventually would leave the Jedi Order near the end of the Clone Wars.  Obi-Wan would become rivals with the Separatist general, Grievous.  Obi-Wan would also lead his own 212th Attack Battalion of Clone Troopers led by CC-2224 (nicknamed Cody).  The 212th and 501st would fight side by side in many battles during the Clone Wars.  By the end of the Clone Wars, Chancellor Palpatine was "captured."  Obi-Wan and Anakin would save him - ending with the death of Count Dooku.  General Grievous would escape, and become the leader of the Separatist.  Obi-Wan would track him down to Utapau, where he would destroy him.  At this time, Darth Sidious would execute Order 66 - initiating Operation Knightfall.  The Jedi Order was virtually destroyed.  Obi-Wan was given one final mission - to kill his fallen apprentice who had taken on the persona of Darth Vader.  They fought on the planet Mustafar, where Vader had his limbs cut off and left to be burned alive.  Obi-Wan then escorted the dying wife of Vader - Padmé - to Polis Massa, where she gave birth to twins - Luke and Leia.  The children were separated - Leia going with Bail Organa to Alderaan and Luke with Obi-Wan going to his family on Tatooine.  Obi-Wan would watch over Luke and protect him.  He would also learn from the Force Spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn the path to immortality.  Obi-Wan eventually left Tatooine with Luke, to return the tactical plans of the Galactic Empires Super Weapon (Death Star I) to Princess Leia Organa.  They were caught in the Death Star's tractor beam and brought aboard.  Obi-Wan went to deactivate the tractor beam as Luke and the smuggler Han Solo went off to save Princess Leia.  Obi-Wan entered into a final dual with Darth Vader, where Vader slayed him.  Obi-Wan became one with the Force and became a Force Spirit.  He would guide Luke throughout his journey to destroy the Empire.  Obi-Wan would also guide the redeemed Anakin Skywalker on the path to immortality.  Obi-Wan is probably one of the most uncorruptable Jedi Knight to ever live; and one of the most powerful - during the Clone Wars at least.

  3. Meetra Surik/The Exile
  •  Meetra Surik was a great Jedi General during the Mandalorian Wars, and a close friend of the Jedi Knight Revan. She was there during the final battle of the war, at Malachor V.  She authorized the use of the Mass Shadow Generator, which crushed the gravity surrounding the planet - killing everyone (Republic/Jedi and Mandalorian) who got caught in its grasp.  The large amount of death caused Meetra to cut her connection to the Force - nearly killing herself in the process.  She was then brought before the Jedi Council and put on trial - as the Jedi Civil War was beginning with Darth Revan at the head.  She was exiled by the council, and stripped of her title.  She left for the outer rim.  Then she returned to the Core worlds, en-route to Telos' Citadel Station, where Admiral Carth Onasi and Jedi Knight Bastila Shan would soon arrive to speak with her about finding Revan.  Meetra was sent on a journey to destroy the last remnants of Darth Malak's Sith Empire - led by the Sith Triune (Darth Traya, Darth Nihilus, and Darth Sion).  She killed Darth Nihilus over the Citadel Station on Telos.  Afterwards she spoke with Admiral Onasi about Revan.  She then left to finish off the Sith Triune.  It ended where Meetra's Exile had begun - on Malachor V.  She killed Darth Sion - who in a way loved her (and she in a way redeemed him before he died).  She then fatally wounded Darth Traya - who had pretended to be a friend throughout most of her journey.  Traya then gave Meetra a vision of the future that was to be - even describing parts of what would happen thousands of years later during the Clone Wars, with the death of the Jedi Knights.   After Darth Traya died from   her wounds, Meetra left Malachor V - activating the Mass Shadow Generator and practically destroying the entire planet.  Meetra disappeared into deep space, searching for Revan.  To which she found him - along with the True Sith Empire, led by the Sith Emperor Lord Vitiate.  She freed Revan with the help of the Sith Lord Scourge and attempted to kill the Sith Emperor, but Lord Scourge betrayed the two - killing Meetra and knocking Revan unconscious.  Meetra became a Force Spirit, who helped Revan survive during his imprisonment in the Sith Empire, until he was released by a Jedi Knight.  Then Meetra became one with the force.

  2. Tenebrae/Lord Vitiate/Sith Emperor/Valkorion
  • Tenebrae is old old old...  He is also probably one of the smartest Sith Lords to ever live in the Galaxy.  Tenebrae proved himself to the then Dark Lord of the Sith Marka Ragnos, and earned the new persona of Lord Vitiate.  Ever since the fall of the first major Sith Empire after the Great Hyperspace War, Lord Vitiate used his powers to wipe out all life on his home planet - including the lives of the thousands of Sith Lords that were tricked into coming to his planet.  This made Vitiate immortal.  He then gathered the remnants of the Sith Empire and brought them to Dromund Kaas - a planet deep in the unknown regions.  Lord Vitiate proclaimed himself the Sith Emperor, and construction of the new Sith Capital - Kaas City - began. The Sith Emperor created structure to his empire, and delved deep into ancient Sith magic - becoming more powerful.  He eventually tricked the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders to invade the Galactic Republic - to weaken them.  The Mandalorians were defeated at Malachor V - at the end of the Mandalorian War.  They survivors were pursued by the Jedi Knights Revan and Malak - along with their Republic Fleet.  Revan and Malak stumbled upon Dromund Kaas and planned on killing the Sith Emperor.  The Emperor corrupted them and sent them back to the Republic to find the Star Forge and to prepare a massive fleet to destroy the Republic - and they would be reinforced by the True Sith.  Revan and Malak left; and what the Sith Emperor wanted did not happen - as what became known as the Jedi Civil War had begun.  The war ended with the destruction of the Star Forge, setting back the Sith Emperor's plans.  Eventually Revan returned, in an attempt to kill the Emperor alone.  Revan was captured, but showed considerable resilience to the dark side.  Eventually Revan was set free again, by help of Meetra Surik and Lord Scourge.  The three attempted to kill the Sith Emperor - almost succeeding, until Lord Scourge betrayed them, killing Meetra and allowing the Sith Emperor to capture Revan again - this time imprisoning him in a deep sleep.  The Sith Emperor would feed off of Revan's incredible power for three hundred years.   Then the Sith Emperor invaded the Republic - the True Sith had returned.  After thirty years of war - known as the Great Galactic War - the Emperor made peace with the Republic, with the Treaty of Coruscant.  Then what was called the Cold War began.  During this, a Jedi Knight rose in power and eventually led the Republic Fleet to Dromund Kaas.  The Jedi Knight "killed" the Emperor's body, but his Spirit lived on and floated off.  The Sith Emperor later returned with a vengeance - and Revan was at the forefront of the fight - nearly losing himself in the process.  The Emperor was defeated again by the Jedi Knight and his allies - a mix of Jedi and Sith alike; as well as Revan.  The Emperor's spirit returned to his hidden body on the Planet of Zakuul - where he had built a hidden Empire known as the Eternal Empire.  He had actually been building this Empire for as long as he had been building the Sith Empire.  The Eternal Empire was his true Empire, and where his true body was.  On Zakuul he went under the persona of Valkorion, where he had twin sons and a daughter.  He sent his sons and armies into the Republic and Sith Space, to not only exact his vengeance, but to also show the Galaxy that he was not to be trifled with.  However, Valkorion's son - Arcann - was fueled by the Dark Side, and attacked his father - only to be countered by his brother Thexan, who was killed in the duel.  Valkorion kept Arcann close to him, but when an outlander and a Sith Lord were brought before Valkorion, they recognized him as the Sith Emperor Lord Vitiate.  The Sith Lord attempted to kill him, but was killed by Valkorion's guards.  Then the Valkorion offered the outlander a chance to take part in the glory of his empire if he kneeled.  It's unsure what happened, but whatever was said was cut short, as Arcann again attacked Valkorion - killing him and taking command of the military of the Eternal Empire while his sister became the Emperor.  Even though Valkorion's final body was destroyed, his Spirit lived on until it was destroyed in 67 BBY (before battle of Yavin) - possibly by another Sith of the Time - meaning that he lived for 5,046 years.  He was the only Sith to almost achieve immortality.

  1. Revan

  •  Revan was power; when you looked at him it was like looking at the heart of the Force - Kreia (Darth Traya).  Revan was a Jedi Knight during the Old Republic Era.  He led the Jedi Order to aid the Galactic Republic in their losing fight against the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders.  Revan and his friends Malak and Meetra Surik, became great leaders during the war.  Revan proved himself as a superior strategic commander, able to defeat his enemies quickly and with force.  Revan was incredibly charismatic, able to make hundreds of thousands of soldiers follow him into battle, and to their deaths.  Revan killed Mandalore the Ultimate - the leader of the Mandalorians - on Malachor V, right before the Mass Shadow Generator was activated and Malachor V was destroyed.  Revan and his Republic Fleet then chased down the remnants of the Mandalorians.  Revan and Malak then stumbled upon Dromund Kaas, and attempted to kill the Sith Emperor, but he was too powerful and corrupted them.  The Sith Emperor sent Revan and Malak (along with their Republic Fleet) to find the Star Maps that would lead them to the Star Forge.  They found the Star Forge and began creating a massive invasion fleet.  But Revan was able to break free from the Emperor's grasp.  He invaded the Republic, not to destroy it - but to save it.  He only attacked strategic planets - and placed military bases on them in defense of the eventual invasion of the True Sith.  Malak believed that Revan had betrayed the Sith Emperor and was forging his own Sith Empire - to which Malak betrayed Revan, and fired on his flagship while a Jedi Strike Team led by Bastila Shan had kept Revan occupied.  Revan's mind was destroyed, and he was nearly dead - but Bastila saved him.  She brought him to the Jedi Council, who reprogrammed his mind with the force - giving him loyalty to the Republic.  Bastila watched over him from the shadows, to make sure that he didn't fall back into his Sith ways, though at the time he had no knowledge of the Force.  When Malak began hunting down Bastila, he engaged the ship that she, Captain Carth Onasi, and Revan were on - The Endar Spire.  The ship was destroyed and Carth and Revan escaped in an escape pod to the planet of Taris below.  They began searching for Bastila and saved her.  They escaped the planet just in time, before Darth Malak reduced the Planet to ash with his Sith Armada.  Revan then arrived on Dantooine, where he was trained as Jedi - quickly mastering his training.  He was then sent on a mission to find the Star Forge.  Eventually they were captured by Darth Malak, and Malak revealed to Revan who he truly was.  With some of Revan's memories coming back, he watched as Bastila sacrificed herself for Revan and Carth to escape Malak's flagship.  They escaped and ended up on the planet where the Star Forge was located.  They eventually made it to the Star Forge, after learning that Bastila had fallen to the Dark Side.  Revan loved Bastila, and when he confronted her on the Star Forge, he convinced her to come back to the Light Side, claiming that their love for each other would save them both.  Bastila then used her Battle Meditation for the Republic to win the fight, as Revan fought and defeated Darth Malak.  Revan and his crew then escaped the Star Forge as it was destroyed by the Republic Fleet.  After the Jedi Civil War, Revan and Bastila became married.  Revan's memories began to return, and remembered something awful.  He began retracing his steps - to Malachor V - where he rediscovered the Trayus Academy - where Darth Traya spoke with him about the True Sith Empire that he had found.  Revan returned to the Core Worlds, and found his Mandalorian friend Canderous Ordo.  He helped Canderous reclaim the mask of Mandalore, so he could unite the clans against the True Sith Empire.  Revan then left known space and fought the Sith Emperor, showing incredible resilience to his powers.  He was imprisoned for a time, and was set free by Lord Scourge and Meetra Surik.  The three attempted to kill the Sith Emperor, but Meetra was killed and Revan was imprisoned - with the Sith Emperor feeding off his power.  This made a connection between the minds of Revan and the Sith Emperor - to which Revan exploited, to make the Sith Emperor not attack the Republic for 300 years; and even after he did attack, he managed to convince the Emperor to make a peace treaty with the Republic.  Revan was eventually set free by a Jedi Knight, and at first was mad - but he realized that the true war that he had been preventing had already begun.  Revan then left and activated one of his factories that made during his reign as Sith Lord - where his assassin droid HK-47 was waiting for him.  They were attacked by a Sith force, but when they seemingly killed Revan, Revan disappeared in a flash of light.  Revan returned years later - at the end of the Cold War, after the first death of the Sith Emperor.  Revan was trying to summon the Sith Emperor's spirit into a body host, so he could kill him once and for all - losing himself in the process.  Revan eventually realized his mistake, and aided the Coalition force of Sith and Republic forces in defeating the Sith Emperor again.  Revan then disappeared; whether he died, no one knows.  What made Revan so powerful was his ability to balance both his powers in the Light side and Dark side of the Force.  He was probably the most powerful Force Wielder to ever live.

Well that pretty much concludes my list.  Hope you enjoyed; I encourage you to spend countless hours wasting your time on Wookiepedia haha.  Oh and a quick story update; I've started planning out what I am going to do in each chapter so that I have more organization when I write the story - hopefully defeating writers block haha :)  So soon I'll start writing the story.

Well I leave you with one final picture of who I think is the most Powerful and important charcter in the the Star Wars Universe (probably would have a fan geek out moment if they made a movie about him) - REVAN.  Until Next Time...
