NaNoWriMo

Abatral Story Update

I've made a new character named Waryon - He is an Elvish Commander, under Admiral Shok-Nio.  Waryon commands the Elvish ship The Western Light:

So I have decided to come up with new things to spur me on and to avoid further writers block.  The first thing was to write the endings of Book I, II, and III - I won't share that with you cause it'll ruin it haha.  However, I'll tell you why I did this.  I want to know what the end game is for my story, and what I really need to focus on to wrap it all up in the end.  I also wanted to know the themes that will be present throughout the story.  All I'll say about the end of Book I is it is a real cliff hanger :)

I'll share with you the themes for all the books and the series:

Series – Life sucks, but with others you can get through the tough times; you’re never alone.  There are lists of people who want to and can help you.

Book I – To achieve your goal, you have to realize that you can’t do it alone; you need the help of others.

Book II – Every second is precious.  Use them wisely; also – you should never wait to tell the people that you love that you love them.

Book III – You have to embrace your future; despite everything that you have faced, all your trials – all the bad; you cannot escape your destiny.  – also – the end game.

It'll be interesting when we get to the end.  I already have an epic ending lined up for the series that will make the series end in a beautiful way and pluck everyone's heartstrings.

NaNoWriMo

Another thing I plan on doing to help me overcome writers block is to participate in the National Novel Writing Month - NaNaoWriMo

If you've never heard of NaNoWriMo it starts On November 1, where participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
It values enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline.  NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought about writing a novel.

You can check it out more on their website here

I encourage everyone who aspires to write to participate in this.  Even if you consider yourself to not be that good, NaNoWriMo is for you.  You can learn so much, and grow in your grammatical skills.  That's what happened to me the first year I did NaNoWriMo.  The best part is to do it with others because then you can critique each other in Writers circles and help encourage each other along the way.

Yes, everyone should attempt NaNoWriMo!
