Abatral History I

Don't forget to Follow and +1 this blog

Alright.
So I've decided to share with you guys some of the history that I've created within this world of Abatral.

For starters I'm going to introduce you to the Aidis - a being filled with power.  The Aidis is the reincarnation of the split deity Lumir.  The Spirit of Lumir is passed on to the different cultures of the world become a great leader - I like to think of the Aidis as an Old Testament Judge like character or similar to a Greek Demigod Hero; to be quite honest, I would go as far to say that the Aidis is very similar to the Avatar from Avatar: the Last Airbender.  So if you see similarities, you'll know why.  After all, nothing is new under the sun.

Now as you read this and future posts about this, know that it is a broad overview - a basic knowledge of the things going on in the world.  However, from this broad overview, I will be able to create future stories from it, further building my world.  So tell me what you think by leaving a comment and don't forget to plus one this post and pass it on.  Thanks and enjoy :)

Might wanna take a look at these two pictures before you start
so know who I'm talking about (Lumir)
and where I'm talking about (the Fields of Darkness).

And here's some good music to go along with the reading :)
Enjoy!! :D

Lumir’s Spirit

Near the end of the Age of the Spirits, the God of Light and Hope – Lumir – was brought to the Playing Fields by his cousin Kyyja – Goddess of Lust and Rebellion.  Lumir’s pure spirit was corrupted by an ancient evil.  The Superior Deity and Creator God – Viius –  appeared, causing the ancient evil to flee before Viius, leaving Lumir weak.  The darkness was already embedded inside of Lumir.  As darkness is a form of magic that flows through the universe, it cannot be truly destroyed.
Lumir begged Viius to take the darkness from his body, even if it meant splitting him in two.  Viius, taking pity on Lumir, agreed.  Viius split Lumir in two, making Lumir pure again and creating Lunar – which was the essence of Lumir’s dark spirit.  But with the splitting of his spirit, Lumir could not maintain a full bodily form.  Viius then made it so that his spirit would be embedded inside that of his recent creation – mankind, his chosen creatures above all others.
After Lumir’s Spirit joined with Mankind, Viius inscribed this on a large rock at the center of the Playing Fields, recently renamed the Fields of Darkness:

THE AIDIS:
When days start to set,
Lumir’s Spirit passes on,
To one of pure heart.
They will bring balance,
To a Realm that has lost it,
Bringing peace to all.
It shall shine its light,
Inspire courage in all,
Start fires of hope.
Viius smiles on it,
The one who carries Lumir,
Great and wise Aidis.

And thus the Aidis, defender of Spirits and Humanoids – was born.
Viius increased the power of Lumir’s Spirit, making him have a strong affinity to Vikus.  As the Aidis’ grew older and trained harder, their powers would increase.  A fully realized Aidis would be able to combine its powers with its past lives, as the Spirit of Lumir would be passed to a new humanoid.

Viius, giving Lumir extra Pure Light Magic, also gave Lumir’s Spirit a powerful connection to Viius himself.  The Aidis would be the voice of Viius in the Realm.
When the holder of the spirit of Lumir would become old in age they would be given a vision of the next chosen Aidis by Viius.  The current Aidis would have to go on a journey to find this chosen Aidis, to pass on the Lumir spirit to them.  The Lumir Spirit can be passed on to anyone, but most of the time it is given to newborns or young children.
When passing the Spirit of Lumir, the Aidis would say, “By the will of Viius, the superior being, let the light of Lumir’s Spirit live on inside you, for so long as Viius wills it to be so.  May the Aidis with all his power one day restore the balance to this realm.  Viius keep and guide you, forever and ever.”

With that all the powers of the Aidis would be passed on to the new Aidis, as well as all the knowledge and lives of previous Aidis’.  An Aidis had a defense mechanism, where if they were in serious danger or in intense emotional stress, they would trigger their inner Lumir Spirit.  When an Aidis unleashed their Lumir Spirit – The Vikken State – they would combine their powers with all previous Aidis’, and would be able to perform amazing things.  Their eyes would glow bright blue, along with any scars on their body.  Only an Aidis who had mastered the Vikken State could be able to fully control it; meaning they could control when they entered the Vikken State, left the Vikken State, and could control all of their actions while in the Vikken State.

If they did not master the Vikken State, then their uncontrolled emotions and risks that they throw themselves into would trigger the Vikken State inside of them.  They would have little to no control of the Vikken State, especially at an early age.  The Vikken State would not be available for use by any Aidis until the Aidis was fourteen years old.  They could use their magic and such, but would have no connection to their Vikken State.  The Aidis could also connect with and speak with previous Aidis’ to seek their advice.  Their connection with Viius also gave them an ability to speak with Viius, specifically in dreams and visions.

Soon after the creation of the Aidis, Viius saw that mankind had been twisted by the rebellious teachings of Kyyja.  Viius, to his great sadness, had to leave the Mortal Realm.  This was not because he believed he was holier than thou, even though he was; but because if anyone with sin in them stood in the presence of Viius, a being that was the original source of Pure Light – the Maker of all Life and creation – would be instantly vaporized.  Because of this Viius left the mortal plain, and returned to the Eternal Realm – his everlasting Kingdom – so he could not bring harm to the creation that he loved so deeply.

Viius would send his words to the Aidis, so the Realm would know his will and that he had not abandoned his creation.
